Nur Syahirah Binte Rostam. Call me Hirah. I'm 21 this year. I'm in Business Process & Systems Engineering Course. Year 1.2. October 09 intake. I'm also taking the IT cluster for TP Certificate Programme.
I love playing soccer. I love running too. =) My favourite singer is Taylor Swift! My favourite TV programme is 'Everybody Loves Raymond'. I like to hang out at street soccer courts all over Singapore from Jurong to Yishun to Tampines to Marine Parade.
I don't exactly chill. When I meet people, I make sure I do something with them. Any movements such as walking from Carpark A to G of East Coast Park and playing soccer. At the void deck also can la. My favourite internet sites is the hotmail and facebook. =)
I'm deeply passionate and addicted to playing soccer! I play competitively for TP Soccer Women and my self-made street soccer + futsal club named Hot Fudge. I used to play for Ottawa Women's FC and Arion Youth Women's FC. I play futsal for fun with my guy friends and street soccer with my neighbourhood friends during my free time.
The tip to improve on playing soccer(as recommended by my father who is a soccer coach) is to watch as many soccer matches and learn other players' mistakes and at the same time borrow ideas from them. I love watching my older brother play soccer because he is a play-maker who has a lot of creative ideas which makes soccer an even more beautiful game than it already is.
I don't hate any soccer clubs because there's no reason to hate anyone who loves playing soccer as much or even more than I do. Teams like Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United are what I call my FAVOURITE clubs. I prefer clubs who focus on short quick passes than long high passes because I believe that if a player can hold the ball, look up, glance at his/her teammates, pass the ball and move on for the team's progress, that player is a true TEAM player and one that does not pass the ball out of range to let the attackers do their jobs. It is also more entertaining to anyone who watch any match with short passes. =)
I don't usually use the net to find out more about to improve playing soccer. I watch and learn. Then try to apply skills and strategies when I play with my friends. I improve by playing and with feedbacks from my friends. I'm open to any feedbacks and I also like to encourage my friends to improve thier skills and techniques. When I play soccer, I don't like to blame my teammates. Instead, I use phases like "It's OK!" or "Try passing this way" etc. Giving directions and suggestions is very helpful in a team sport than asking questions like "Why did you do that?" or "You could/shoud have..." . We are not interested in what had been done. What can we do to improve the current situation?
